As students of education, we have the privilege to receive robust lessons that prepare us to teach in our future jobs as professional educators. However, the role of a teacher extends far beyond the classroom and curriculum. It is our duty to advocate for our students and ourselves to ensure that no child is held back by their characteristics or circumstances, especially those out of their control.

The AES is a full-day virtual conference that will address various topics involving equity in education. It will include sessions on teaching social justice issues, diversity, advocacy, as well as many other topics to prepare us to serve all students, their families, and our communities better.

We hope you will join us online for the 2nd annual Aspiring Educator Summit.
